I have downloaded and installed OziExplorerCE onto PDA SD card where it runs fine.
I then transferred SD card files to ICN's SD card.
Running the exe file on the ICN I get an error message <Cannot find OziExplorerCE(or one of its Components)....>.
There is something on Ozi site about NOT installing to SD card as extra directories get created. I found two extra directories.
These only contained a single txt file in each, which I copied to the main Ozi directory but still no go. Any suggestions on what to try next?' ' |

Hi ICN520
Same version.
I have similar directory list as shown (System Files are not in a separate directory). Also I am using a program Files directory on the SD card to keep things tidy.
SD\Program Files <DIR>
OziExplorer <DIR>
Data <DIR>
Help <DIR>
Maps <DIR>
Name Search <DIR>
PSymbols <DIR>
Sound Files <DIR>
Symbols <DIR>
aaa.tmp
Aeroplane.mmp
Glider.mmp
Italian.cel
language.ini
LastMap.cfg
MruMaps.cfg
NavPlane.mmp
NCScnet.dll
NCSEcw.dll
NCSUtil.dll
OziCEgps.exe
OziExplorer2.cfg
OziExplorerCE.exe
I will try installing directly onto navman via activesynch and see how that goes. |

It sounds like you might be trying to run the PocketPC version of OziExplorerCE and not the HandheldPC version. Only the HPC version will work on the iCN. (The PPC version will load if you add aygshell.dll to the folder (the missing file in your error message) but will soon crash when you select any tool from the toobar)
oziexp.hpc300_arm.CAB = HPC
OziExplorerCE_1.12.3e.CAB = PPC
OziExplorerCE_Commonfiles.CAB = works with both HPC and PPC
HPC version left | PPC-only version right

Hmmm.... Still problems.
Have loaded. Opens ok. However, when I go to menu Configuration, to make changes, the little window pops up, I make required change, click OK then Ozi locks up. Have to kill program to get out of it. Even if I dont make a change, as soon as I hit ok it locks up. |

Not sure but.... maybe waiting a little longer before killing prog might be the answer.
When I changed GPS setting the window dissappeareared after a few secs.
Will try again with other config settings |

These settings seem to work well enough over here.
BTW it does take a while for the application to update itself whenever the config settings are changed. |

Hi
That was the problem - it does takes a little time to update settings (some longer than others).
Tried it out with a local map I had. Claibrated it and it worked fine. Tracked travel accurately. Will look at how to's for setting routes etc.
Can see it being usefulin both marine and off road situations. Another plus for the Navman unit
PS. Using same GPS setting as in your post here. Finds Sats pretty quick too. |

Do a search for Regozi.zip another of prz files. It contains directions.
Allows you to run a small prog (Regozi.exe) once to install the serial details. Update the ozi.rg1 file with your serial details and save to dir with Regozi.exe (needs to be in root of Storage Card.
Create a shortcut to Regozi.exe and run once.
You won't see anything happen but Ozi will be regged with your details.
After a hard reset simply run shortcut once more.
If you have a 530 you can also enter using the keyboard but above method is best way long term. |

Hi,
OziExplorer works on my iCN720 but
when it starts "GetDeviceUniqueID Failed" message
appears, i think this is the problem why i get
"No data received from the GPS" when i start GPS
function..
Any ideas how to fix it? |

No, i dont know what must be set.
Now it's:
Communication Port > COM1:Serial
Baud>4800
Sentence>GPRMC
GPS NMEA Output Datum > WGS 84
What i must change if i hve iCN720?
Thanks |
