iGO 2006 May 30 2006
Requirements● GAPIforHPCs 3.08+
● aygshell.dll
● tahomabd.ttf
Installing iGO2006 is virtually the same as installing Miomap, with just one or two exceptions. To get iGO.exe you'll need to install iGO on a Windows Mobile 2003+ device, or the free WinMobile2005 standalone emulator from Microsoft.
Run setup.exe on your wm2003+ device. When the installation has finished copy iGO.exe from the device's or emulator's [Program Files/iGO] folder, to the [iGO] folder on your Navman's storage card.
see here for instructions on how to use the emulator.
As usual the process then begins with copying gx.dll and aygshell.dll to the iGO folder on your Navman. You'll also need to copy tahomabd.ttf to [windows]
In Notepad create a file call sys.txt and enter the following text:
| Code: |
[debug]
smart_2d=1
slowsim=1
loop_sim=1
[interface]
;mio=1
landscape=0
portrait=1
width=320
height=240
base="uil/"
basel="uil/"
[speedcam]
usemio=-12,90,37,27 |
Copy sys.txt to the [iGO] folder.
iGO will create the registry entries automatically the first time it is run. If you are having problems with language selection then you can create a ***.reg file in Notepad and enter the following text.
| Code: | REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\iGO 2006]
"StartSuccess"="T"
"AutoRun"=dword:00000000
"AppDir"="\\Storage Card\\Apps\\iGO\\"
"voice"="english_f1_uk"
"language"="english GB" |
This ***.reg file can be imported into TRE registry editor on the Navman. Change the line "AppDir"="\\Storage Card\\Apps\\iGO\\" to point to your iGO installation location. You most likely won't need to do this though.
BTW MioMapv3.2 maps can be used on iGO 2006. |

Why do you want to install iGO instead of Mio Map. Until now I thought Mio Map has all features of the iGO too.
... and there is a description available to install Mio Map to the Navman without problems. |

You're probably using the wrong data.zip file. I had the same problem months ago when I tried to change countries in Miomap. Replaced the data.zip file and the problem went away. Now I use iGO My Plus instead. Miomap 3.3 is good but unstable on older Navman devices, unless you remove all the TTS files and TTS related dlls. With the TTS system removed Miomap is as stable as iGO My Way. |

Thanks JamButty
after re-installed iGO, problem was gone, I guess I was using wrong data.zip file. I like BIG "Find and Go" button |

Hi HK1,
You are probably using a different build version of iGO to the one shown here. These instructions work only with the May 30 2006 build. |

| The "Hardware id error" message probably relates to the license.db or the iGOpna.exe file in the iGO folder. You may need to replace this file with a different one. Please delete any existing iGO.db file as well. |

try adding this to SYS.TXT
[gps]
protocol="NMEA"
com_port=2
com_port_speed=4800
You can try different com port and speed settings but these work for ICN 5xx series |
