I would appreciate any help.
I bought a NAVMAN F10 recently. I wanted to unlock it, so tried the instructions on http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com/Unlock which says that the F10 can be unlocked the same way as the S30, i.e. using the files in NAVMAN s series unlock.zip file.
I downloaded the zip file, put the contents in a folder called 'F10' on a 2gb SD card, then reset the Navman. I got an error message saying it couldn't create certain directories (/my flash disk).
When I checked the internal media card shows a capacity of 235mb and zero bytes free. Thinking that the lack of space was the issue, I took a backup of the whole 235mb onto my HDD, and then deleted the IE maps to make some space.
The deletion appears to have caused corruption, in that the space has not been freed, it reports only 1 mb free - should be about 8mb. I now get an error message saying that certain maps cannot be loaded - to be expected I suppose.
Any thoughts on what I should do next, and how I can successfully unlock the Navman?
I could format the internal card and recopy the contents over, but would I then end up with a machine that wouldn't boot? |
