I succesfully unlocked my N20 and I'm very happy to be running MioMaps 3.2 now.
There is only one issue. When running in original configuration unplugging the USB cable resulted in a Navman N20 running on Batteries.
With the unlock installed the system gets switched off immediately after unplugging. Also when I kill the car ignition the screen is black due to switch off.
Miomaps is not able to resume operation when the power is switched back on.
What actions are to be taken?
An answer is greatlty appreciated. |

I think this is a bug inside PNADesktop.exe.
I implemented this feature for myself only - it should not occur until the value of "SuspendAfterACPowerOff" inside the registry has been set manually. Since you don't know this you never set it.
... so it's a program bug.
Maybe it's helpfull if you set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Apps\PNADesktop\SuspendAfterACPowerOff
to "0".
Yes, I know this is not the answer you are looking for - at least since I don't explain to you how to set a registry value. But in the moment I'm not motivated to assist you further more. |

Thanks for this usefull hint.
Is this a modification to an exsisting registry key?
Or newly made key?
As you migth expect I can't find the key you specified in the registry anywhere using TRE to view and edit.
I can't find any entry similar to the one you proposed. Only some setting on the screen for running on AC or batteries can be found.
I am hoping you are willing to give me one more hint. |

| Recently I switched to IGO8. This software allows the N20 to continue without errors after being switched off due to cutting the power delivery. |

The last time I updated this message I had an N20 running IGO8 from a SanDisk 1.0 GB SD card. After a power off and switch on the IGO software will continue working properly.
Recently I bought a SanDisk 2.0 GB SD card. The same software will stall after a power off running from this card.
I found the newer 2 GB card is operating faster than the 2.0 GB card. This is most likely the cause for the stalling software.
For my normal navigation the 1 GB card is more than sufficient. |
