Hello =). Thanks for this great site. I finally unlocked my Navman s30, and am loving it =D.

What do i need to download to start programming on the Navman S30? I've downloaded the Microsoft Embedded Visual C++ 4 from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1DACDB3D-50D1-41B2-A107-FA75AE960856&displaylang=en#Overview, but when i try to run setup.exe it crashes, so i can't install it. I tried to run acmboot.exe, but it asks for a 10 digit (2 + Cool serial key, which is not mentioned on Microsoft's website.

It would be most awesome if i could start designing programs on this little baby.

I used exactly the download you mentioned to compile the PNADesktop.exe. (At that time I used Windows XP - I don't know if this is important to know.)

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition, and i have Activesync installed. The splash screen appears for about half a second, then dispears, but it still says its active in the taskbar, but is unclickable.

Then about 5 seconds later i get this screen...

Maybe you can find an answer for this problem inside any other forum which is more VC++ related. This forum is more Navman related.

Sorry, I don't haven idea why it doesn't work...

There is a serial number that you are supposed to use posted on that page, last line under instructions. If that helps.

No, it doesn't sorry. I can't even get to the spot where it asks for a serial, lol.

Though the acmboot.exe program asks for a serial, but it's only a 10 digit serial, which is not on the webpage.

Okay, it seems to work on my vista machine. Only crashes about 1 in every 10 times i open it up. Works even better when i set compatibility to XP.

Now, if i try to start a new file, it says i must select my platform. So i go into the platform manager, and click "Add" and it crashes.

Even if it didn't crash, how could i get it to know what OS it's using if the Navman can't communicate?

How did you do it?
