I used max compression (compatibility mode) in Winzip. Maybe that's causing the lag. I'll try ripping/streamlining data.zip tomorrow if I have some spare time to kill.
To get the 7 digit UK postcode search working you have to download the greatbritain7ppc.fbl map
Updated data.zip: Now zipped with super-fast compression, and a cool new loading screen.
Do you still notice the lag? It seems fine on my card. |

the lag is still noticeable but I like the new loading screen
I don't really like the custom map skin, especially when in cockpit mode where the information bar is at the top, i would of prefered it on the left hand side.
keep up the good work |

Fixed it!
I'm going to tempt fate and say all the messy interface problems are now fixed in the original skin. All the icons are in their rightful places, with no overlaps, and no crashes either. You can use either the full version or the streamlined one. Make sure you're in landscape mode if using Nyditot Virtual Display.
Hi mirusu,
To unlock the Navman read this thread: Unlock Navman
Use Save as Target in your web browser to download tahomabd.ttf
The f2s webserver I use isn't great. If you can't download, wait and try again later ...or search for the font on google. |

Hi!
Thank You Admin for the short replay! Hi![ ][ ]
I tried to folow the thunpid00gts tutorial to unlock my navman 510 but i stuck here:"Now, the "keybd" program that 2.7 uses wasn't the best one. Delete that shortcut and instead install "shkeyboard" from http://www.gpspassion.com/upload/20100TLSE_utils_icn530.zip
Click the shortcut or the exe once to open it, and once again to close it.
There is another file called chorientation in that zip but I did not find any use for it since i have a 510 not a 530."
[?] Where is the "keybd" program?
I READ ALL 37 PAGES from the link you gave me and 2 from this forum.
I just want to put miomaps on my icn 510 what can i do?
I understend that the Alexander method dose not survive to an hard reset so i went for the prz (Pierre) method but it seems to be a litlle to much for beginer like me...
Please give me a hint!
Thanks again! |

Hi mirusu,
To be fair to other members following this thread, all questions regarding the Navman's unlocking process should be posted here.
Forget about MioMap for a moment. For now, focus all your effort into getting the Navman unlocked correctly.
I'm not an expert on the prz (Pierre) method either but Dmart123 wrote a fine prz24 tutorial here.
Using an on-screen keyboard:
You will find ShKeyboard.exe inside 20100TLSE_utils_icn530.zip |

There appears to be something wrong with your MioMap interface settings.
To use the downloadable stage 3 data.zip file, loading.bmp should be loading from:
uip _mio/mio/loading.bmp
NOT
ui _mio/mio/loading.bmp
Delete iGO.db
If you're running Nyditot Virtual Display quit out of it, or make sure the Navman is in Landscape mode.
In the sys.txt file the interface should be set to mio=1.
In the Miomap's General Settings, at the bottom of the screen you'll find the 3 Display modes.
Portrait
Landscape-right
Landscape-left
Always select the first option, Portrait mode. Yes, I know it sounds mad, but Portrait mode (August build) is actually Landscape mode on the Navman.
If it still won't work, try replacing data.zip with this larger unripped version: data.zip |

Hi piciu33,
On the Map/Cockpit screen click on the little satellite dish icon.
Click the Detect button (auto config)
or click the Config button and enter these settings:
If you can't get a signal go outside. |

Can you show us what your GPS Data screen looks like?
Take a look at the photo above.
Look for the column of 3 buttons on the bottom right of the screen.
Detect
Config
TMC (ignore this button)
I don't know what else I can suggest. |

Quick Question Guys,
Before I go and try MioMap on my Navman, does it have automatic map switching? The problem I have is that I currently have TT5 on my Navman 510 but each state is an individual map so if I want to travel between states I have to switch maps and never mind trying to create an interstate route. I was going to try TT6 but someone suggested Mio Map. If anyone could answer this for me it would be of great help.
Thanks |

Yes, Miomap has automatic map switching, and the swap overs are instant when you're out driving or simply browsing the maps. But then again, Miomap doesn't have a lot of road data to process between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland maps
I would imagine that setting up an interstate route is still going to be a pain in the you know what but maybe less of one than Tomtom. |
