Hi

I have sucessfully unlocked the my Navman S30 model. Managed to load and run a number of programs and games (thank you Tahtu).

About one (1) week ago i dowloaded a service pack for the Australian S-Series from Navman that is to inprove route calculation times.

Now i have lost the KEYBOARD and the TASK MANAGER from my task bar, i have unistalled the hack and rinstalled a number of times but still no keyboard or task manger.

I also reinstalled the original navman software but again this amde no difference. I believe that the patch has updated my firmware as well, gas anyone hade this problem yet!! Sad Crying or Very sad

Hi so far i have not been able to get my keyboard left.

I have noticed that a number of people have also lost their keyboard. None of the highly skilled programmers here are able to offer apossible direction to solving this problem (maybe there is no solution for this).

It does seem that the update has changed the Win CE main files and control panel (they do total access to the windows stracture and have no doubt removed the keyboard files). Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad

Regards

Frank

Why do you think there is no one able to offer a solution?

I never tried to find a solution. The reason for this are people like you who are waiting for solutions instead of trying it by hisself. Wink I'm not motivated to try helping while the most guys only waiting instead of working together.

So you are one of the reasons why there is no solution!

Thank you for such a quick response, sometimes i do believe that you are just waiting for an opportunity to jump on someones back.

With all your knowledge, i would like to believe that you would be able to at least give us a direction on how to start solving this problem.

I would say that the majority of people that view this forum are "NON PROGRAMMERS" (but are willing to learn if guided) and as such we do really on the experienced ones such as your self.

Give a deriction asd to where to commence an will be quite willing to attempt to fix this annoying problem.

Reards

Do you really think I was able to develope the PNADesktop.exe with this kind of handling my live? By waiting to get something from other people?

Do not wait for getting anything - just start giveing something to other people. Giving is the solution - not the wish to get something or waiting to get something.

Inside this forum you started with a request to get something. Why do you expect to get something before you brought something?

There are a lot of other unanswered posting - but until now you didn't try to help that people. So why should I help you?

Everybody has any kind of advantage to anybody else. Use this advantage to assist the other ones and you will find the assistance you want to have.

well I have been playing with this ..

I note on the F10 - I cannot get any other keyboard soft to work e.g.
like ShKeyboard.exe

in the settings - the keyboard layout is empty ...

I am using F10 /SP1 with S30 Unlock

Very often I get "no valid wince32 application error ...

am I missing some DLLs?

Hmm ...

P.S: Tahtu no everyone is that skilled ...
I am a beginner but got quiet far I believe ...
Debugging is hard.

cheers

You must edit autorun.reg and add these lines:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Explorer\Shell Folders]
"My Documents"="\Storage Card"

All work!

thanks antonaq!

that worked ---

however - the F10 (or better mine)

using TT seems to respond rather slow on inputs ...

is that normal or can that be improved?

cheers

Running JOTKBD gets keyboard access on the S30.

Thank you for your info on the alternative keyboard (JOTKBD).

I f you have used this keyboard on an S30, than you would also know that basicly only the "ENTER" Button works. (no alphabet keys work).

Thus we/I are not able to alter Registry entries.
