First I have installed the tomtom 6.000 in the storage card
Then i have installed only the program file and data.chk of tomtom 6.020 in a different folder (called navigator 6.02) the program was for winCe2003 not for winCE2005
Then i have installed gapi for HPC also in the storage card.
I have lauched GAPI and set.
Tab Setup:
active: Enable framebuffer-cache
active: Emulate PocketPC-width...
active: Emulate PocketPC-height...
not active: all others
Tab Gapi:
set on 270°
not active: all others
Tab Touch:
Touchscreen rotation: 270°
Touchescreen coordinates: none (1:1)
Tab Display:
Current display-orientation: 270°
Change orientation: don't
Tab Keyboard:
I haven't touched it (everything is active)
Tab Emulator:
Active: Use Gapi emulator
Active: 240x320 (PocketPC,QVGA)
Then I have launched Navigator 6.020
Nothing else
Enjoy! |

Update:
With the new GAPI GX.dll in the window directory you don't even need to change orientation.
Everything works perfectly fine in landscape mode!.
Thanks to all of you for your efforts!
Bye!!! |

I don't have an S30 to experiment but from what i have been told S30 is shipped without some dlls and with a smaller flash disk dunno if it can work.
Anyway i haven't installed anything on the S50 so using executability check to rename the libs i think it should work...all depends if someone can supply the missing dlls. but really i'm not an expert it's te first time in my life that i see a ppc/gps (christams present)

| Indeed... finding the correct versions of the missing dlls is proving to be a major pain in the a$$ |

I have an s50, I installed GAPI in SD card. If I launch Miomap, GAPI works, because I have copied GX.dll and the GAPI ini file in the program dir. Next I installed tomtom 6.000 but I have the exception error when I touch the map, while gps signal works great. It seems to not load the GAPI files, Miomap shows the GAPI splash on start while TT6 doesn't. It is because I don't have upgraded it to 6.02? I tried but the exe I found for WM2003 doesn't work, my navman says this is not a valid winCE application. Last but not least my S50 doesn't copy GX.dll on windows dir, while it copyes the ini correctly.
Any help??? |

Hey
Thanks a lot for your help, it got me quite far ahead and was exactly what I wanted.
However, I don't have my S50 working perfectly:
1)Tomtom starts up but it says 'No GPS Device' . Im currently running 6.000(7370)
2)I cannot copy GX.dll into my WINDOWS folder and therefore get the exception error when I tap on the Tomtom screen (I noticed the error disappears when you set the GAPI to rotate screen 270Degrees)
EDIT: I managed to get everything working properly on widescreen by playing around with GAPI(Still cannot gopy GX.dll to Windows). Maps also installed and GPS worked fine after the appropriate settings. Just a few minor things now like adding shortcuts and keeping favourites intact after hard reset.
Thanks for all your help! |

Hello!
Navman S30 works fine with TOMTOM 6.02.
Read the Guide from eng_HK and it will work. I copied voices and german map into tomtom and it works...
