Hello everyone,

I have a 520 in which I attempted to install tomtom software.
I'm not sure what happened, but now when I turn the unit on it just displays the animated usb connection screen.

Can someone help me out, I would like to install the latest tomtom 6 software, but dont know where to start!

Thanks

Hi Shinteki
Check out this thread first. It covers how to unlock iCN then how to install TT6 on a 520 (watch the video for the 520 as it has a different directory structure to the 530 requires a different approach).

If you still having problems post again on that thread Smile

The original iCN520 directory structure should look like this (Don't worry if you don't have the PIM folder): My own filetypes will be different to yours so don't worry if the icons and type data look different. It's the names of the files that are important.

Please list any files that are missing from your folders. The two most important files on your device are sigreg.dat and cdkeys.dat. Make sure you have multiple backups of these files on your PC's harddisk before you start poking around with your Navman's [My Flash Disk] folder. In fact, backup your entire [My Flash Disk] folder to your PC's harddisk before you go any further.

Thanks guys, I dont know if i'm going to be able to sort it as I appear to have wiped important data from the flash disk.

I only have appstartupsec.exe in the backup folder.

Is there any way I can restore it all back to factory? or download all the files that SHOULD be there lol

I have downloaded the smart st installer with active sync

From another post it seems [Program Files] folder should be an exact copy of the [Backup] folder.
Maybe you can recover your missing files from their.

Hi Shinteki
Are you sure you have a iCN520? I may be mistaken but the 520 should have a Shackleton directory.
Ficino is a directory usually found in the 510 model (owners of 510/520 feel free to correct me if I have got this wrong). Embarassed
The two units have different directory structures and files it may be best to clarify which unit you have so that correct advice can be provided Wink
If you have deleted your sigreg.dat and cdkeys.dat (these are unique to your unit) you may need to search for a 'replacement' set Rolling Eyes on the web to get your unit working again.
The 'common' files may be available from some kind forum member who has the same unit and is prepared to assist. Sorry - mine is 530 and not compatible.

Here is a link to a thread on our SatNav Apps forum: http://navmanunlocked.forumwise.com/navmanunlocked-thread7.html
It covers installing TT on SD card.
Version 6 requires a small registry edit in order to read maps. See here:
http://navmanunlocked.forumwise.com/navmanunlocked-thread42.html
TT not installed - After moving TT to SD card you may need to create a new shortcut to start Navigator.exe.
