Hi!
The problem is a missing dll.. there are many missing dlls .. Tahtu wrote this in his tutorial!

i have copied xaradlls into s30, but TT7 didnt work.
Then i copied all the dlls from wince5 to tt7 folder and it works.
Perhaps its possible to find out which dll is missing , for example with exe.check..
but i didnt it yet.

Another problem is that TT7 hangs on my S30. Every 2-5 minutes it stops. When i touch the screen it start to work. Read about it in another forums but no solution.

Thats funny! The S-50 to S-90 does not hangs on TomTom. It displays a debug session instead. Maybe its the same error, but S-30 does not posses the debug session.

Ohhhh....my S30 show the "debug session"...I still havn't found a way to disable this "feature"!!!

WINSOCK.DLL is the one causing all the problems! I found out, that EACH and EVERY time this dll is called on the s-series, we are in for trouble!

Solution: winsock.dll IS present at the flash-rom on all s-series. But it is not that happy to be overwritten by another winsock, also causing problems. So....only one way: Crack open the program and replace all of its call to winsock and replace it with a dummy...

Hello everyone.
I'm back after a very long time.

As you perhaps know, I've managed to create a very beautiful interface for the S30 based on the miomap unlock.

However, that's not what's brings me here.
I've managed to have tomtom 7 run on my S30 at least, start. I choose my map after selected the langage and if I'm a lefty or righty. Therefore I have a message about memory problem.
What is strange is that I have twice the name of the map that appears on the selection screen.

I saw that psifusmanaged to have it work (at least, he says so)
So I'm wondering where do that comes from.

Someone spoke about patching the map correctly. What's this about ?
I used a keygen, where you put the map in a folder then run a .bat file, etc... Is this the correct methode ?

@ psifius :
If you managed to have it work, please can you tell me what dll you have in the tt7 folder, what version of the map you use, and what would be better would be if you could PM me the files in your tomtom folder.

By the way if someone wants to see my personal graphic interface, I can send some photos.

Thanks to all.

i have tomtom 7 working fine on my s50 after much messing around!!

I found i got that memory problem is i changed the "tomtom navigator.exe" to just "tomtom.exe".

I also d/l a file with about 5 "note_prj.dll" files in it and just tried each one until it worked.

As ive said in my previous post, im not very computer savy, so my success was a lot of trial an error.

I might be able to answer questions on what ive done, but i wouldn't be able to give you a "how to" description.

Thankyou to everyone who has posted ideas and things that hove worked for you!

Also, i followed the instructions at the begining of this post!

Except for this bit....

E: Add your desired map to the root of the SD card. It needs to be patch if you are using the new 675.xxx and 720.xxx maps. Old maps can be tricked: Rename 650.xxx to 675.xxx etc - and it works!

I downloaded maps for aus, and used the crack that came with the tomtom 7 d/l.

Note_prj.dll depends on which model of winsock.dll installed. Some S-Series comes with one type (1.1, I guess) and some with others (vers. 2?).

Some will lunch a debug session, some not. Does your TT lunch a debug session? If not, lets find a way to exstract this winsock.dll....

I was wondering if the version of the navman software has it's importance.
I didn't update my navman, I guess it has something to do with it.
Perhaps the version of the note_pjr.dll depends on the version...
Those who managed to have tomtom run on their S30, could you pleas tell what version U use... It's displayed on top of the spalsh screen I guess.

What do you think ?

how about this ive been trying to get TT6 working on the F10 for ages now i would say at least 5 months now but i gave up when all i was getting was the "Missing Components" error until i tried with TT7 and Microsofts Platform Builder For Windows CE and PPC. i created a platform as a standerd PPC platform and added a few components as it asks you if you want to customise the platform your working on, like adding feature like, the explorer, windows media player, you no all the standard stuff but i went crazy and added nearly everything possible anyway long story short, when you go to build the OS it creats all necissery DLLs and files needed beform crating the .BIN files for flashing so here you go a present from me to you.

h**p://rapidshare.com/files/155055747/DLLS.rar

the DLLs in this package shout work on any app thats asking for them well hopefully all i done was copied the lot in the TT7 dir and it work 1st time, i havent manage to sift thru the to get rid of the one i done need cause once it loaded a was over the moon lol....

and this TT7 Works On My F10 Perfect

h**p://rapidshare.com/files/155057810/Navigator.rar

this should sort the memory error as i was getting it to until i replaced with the above.

hope this help anyone ill post some screen shots when i get the chance

Thanks!

I was finally able to setup and run TT7!

Unfortunately it ran for few minutes, then came up with the memory error and now comes up with the memory error as soon as it starts. I will reinstall it and try some variations.
