Hi all, new here but did some searching and found no obvious answers.

I've successfully unlocked my Navman iCN520 with Navman Unlock and also
installed GAPI for HPCs v402. Did a soft reset and both work fine. I get the
Start menu and all. The GAPI tests work fine.

So then I tried to install some PPC apps (Handmark Yahtzee is one). At the
Setup screen, I chose NOT to install to the default directory but to the SD
Storage Card instead. It installs fine. I then soft reset again (just in case).

I then select Start -> Games -> Yahtzee and I get an error which states:

"Cannot find 'Yahtzee' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and
filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

So then I copied aygshell.dll (7,680 bytes) and gx.dll (11,776 bytes) to the
Yahtzee folder, did a soft reset, and tried to launch it again, but got the
same error message.

What do I try next? (I also tried some other PPC apps which fail with the
exact same error message). It seems to be a "can't find file" problem as
opposed to a "can't run this app" problem?

Side-note: Installing the game to the default directory still doesn't help.

Never mind. I ran the executability checker thing and there's a few DLL's
missing. I'm not going to bother as it's too much work. I was able to
successfully install the TCPMP Media Player with no issues so I'm happy
to just use my Navman as a media player instead. Wink Sorry for posting.

Yeah, too much work. Smile It's my first try with unlocking and I wasn't fazed
either way if I got it working or not. I don't need it that bad. I did more out
of curiosity than anything. I figured if it was something simple, then I'd stick
with it, but having to go looking for the right DLLs on the web is too much of
a hassle. All the DLLs I tried (from the Missing DLLs pack etc) didn't work.
In fact, I was surprised that the TCPMP Media Player worked without any!

So, speaking of work: what would you have done then, to get Yahtzee going?
Can you please show me that it's not as much work as I was experiencing?

Handmark Yahtzee doesn't work on the Navman. Well... it can run with MFCCE211.DLL and a bit of hex editing to the Yahtzee.exe (find/replace MFCCE300 with MFCCE211) , but the game refuses to go past the "Enter Name" screen. This is most probably due to the "enter serial number" window which follows it. Most games are much easier to install than this. Shame Handmark's security duffed things up.

Here's a list of the best games, with full installation instructions for the Navman.

If you still want to play Yahtzee on the Navman do it through an emulator.
Check your Private Messages. I've posted a link to the VBAdvanceCE emulator. You do not need to add extra files to the folder, only Gameboy Advance game ROMS. There's one ROM included to start you off.

Setup instructions for VBAdvanceCE are found here:

For the sake of your ears keep the sound option disabled.

Thanks for that; I never considered emulation. Smile Have downloaded your link
and will try it tomorrow. Is there a Commodore 64 emulator that'll run on the
520? I'd love to run my C64 collection on it. Smile

There's a great freeware version of Yahtzee called hpcYachtCE. No hard work required. It works on the Navman without modification

Download link:
hpcYachtCE.zip

KSE Yachzee
(hpc2000 version) also works on the Navman without modification. It's not freeware so if you like it you'll have to pay for it.
