This might not be useful for too many people, but with my N60i the brightness is set too low by default. The easy fix I found was to just edit this registry entry and put it into Tahtu's Autorun.reg file. With this I can set the brightness to where I want it on startup.

Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight]
"Brightness"=dword:00000075

Set the number at the end to anything between 01 and 99, mine by default was set to 32, way too dim.

It's probably wise to open TRE and change this entry manually then soft reset to make sure it works right. If not, do a hard reset and try again.

Did not work for me on my S30. The key was copied into the registry fine but the screen brightness did not change (tried both a soft & hard reset)

Hmm, they must have changed how it's done then. Maybe somewhere else in the registry there is something similar on yours.
