No one has yet reported successfully unlocking F Series.
The first step would be to get activesynch working.
Check out the S series thread as they have identified a way to get activesynch working on S series using a reg edit. This led to successful unlock. Smile

Sorry, Navman-f10, but my F10 on the backside has a lebel that say
"Windows CE Core 5.0"

Create in SD a Folder named F10, and follow the same proccess to unlock de S30, only put the files in F10 folder, not S30 folder.

Regards.

Hello,

I can confirm the unlock method for S30 works with F10. Just replace F10 for S30 everywhere in the process.

After that I was able to install TomTom 6.02, Route 66 and iGO 2006.

And one more thing. The F10 can use SDHC cards. I have a 4GB SDHC A-data Turbo and it is working perfectly.

Helooooooo! Doesn't anybody read the previos posts before claiming the F10 is unlockable? I did it and posted the procedure on this forum! Read http://navmanunlocked.forumwise.com/navmanunlocked-thread584.html
It's not very hard to do and works great!

Thanks for all the support form members of the board ...

I got most of the things to work - however TomTom is giving me a hard time

on a navman f10 patched SP1 I used the "S30 unlock", got the PNADESktop (no keyboard) and IGO2006 to work ..

TT6.02 works too using ole32.dll fix by creating a ?program files/unlock/windows folder and placing the ole32.dll into it.

TT starts by the maps are not found.
I used then the registry patch to get it to work and placing the folder with the maps into My Document of my storage card. -
- no go
I tried virtually all posibilities .. straight into root of SD ...
and so on ..

Any suggestions what else to try?
How can I get the ID of my device to be used for the maps...?

I got this :

map_6.75_DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE (1409)
-> so this should be the name of the folder?
"map_6.75_DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE"

and these files in it:

cname.dat
traffic.dat
faces.dat
cline.dat
DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE.mid
DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major_roads_of_WE.pna
mapinfo.dat
cnode.dat
poi.dat
tmccodes.dat

Hmm no idea what to try next ...

I guess I did it by the book as described in the tutorial here on the pages
as GEORGIE suggested .. but no go yet.

Any input ? cheers

Navman N20 Registry Key change by mrmattd
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Explorer\Shell Folders=\Storage Card\

did you also try this setting in your auto.reg
it worked for my tomtom on a navman S30

don't forgot the explorer key

good luck

I did the registry fix -- to tell the device that "My Documents" is located on the SD card ....

Same result: "Maps not found" error

Any other ideas?

Just a quick question ...

Do I need to do anything else to the TT Maps before I can copy them?
Any fix or patch that is needed? Prior to usage?

I saw a bunch of patches floating .. is there a standard procedure to go about it ..

PM me ...

Sorry, I am an IGO user, don't like Tom Tom, it's useless for me, since Romania is very poor detailed on TT maps. So I never tried to use TT on a Navman device. But , as a general rule, I belive TT has an configuration file somewhere, like the "sys.txt" in the IGO program. Just find it and edit it, adding the path for the SD card, wich for Navman i s called "Storage Card" In the brackets you'll see the line that I use in IGO's sys.txt : (sdcardpath="\\Storage Card\\" ). Maybe this might help you.

by the way I found the File with the ID

it is "ttnavigator.bif" file

when opening it with an editor it has all the info ... it is created everytime TT fires up.
Map keys can be found using key revealers ... works ..

BUT
in mine it does not seem to find the maps ...
The path is set correctly in registy and device.ini of the unlock

any other thoughts?

So I am not even at that point where to enter anything ...

Hmm..

Need a break ...
