Installation of Prz24 unlock using Navman_V2.9.zip downloaded from gpspassion ICN5xx unlock forum.
Note: Installation differs with the presence or not of an SD card.
1. Find the directory containing NavcarCE.exe (SmartST_CE.exe on 550):
For 510:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Ficino
For 520:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Shackleton
For 530:\My Flash Disk\Navman\Lightning
For 550:\cf disk\navman\Socrates
2. Rename original NavcarCE.exe /SmartST_CE.exe file to NavcarC1.exe
3. In this directory (where original NavcarCE.exe/SmartST_CE.exe was located) place a copy of Prz24 replacement NavcarCE.exe (from Navman_V2.9.zip) (for 550 rename to SmartST_CE.exe).
4a.If you have an SD card - on the sd card, create three folders :
\Storage Card\Start
\Storage Card\Startup
\Storage Card\Program Files (for 550 program folder needs to go in the root of CF DISK)
4b. IF NO Storage Card the Start and Startup folders must be created in the directory where NavcarCE.exe and NavcarC1.exe are located:
For 510:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Ficino\Start
For 510:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Ficino\Startup
For 520:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Shackleton\Start
For 520:\My Flash Disk\Backup\Shackleton\Startup
For 530:\My Flash Disk\Navman\Lightning\Start
For 530:\My Flash Disk\Navman\Lightning\Startup
For 550:\cf disk\navman\Socrates\Start
For 550:\cf disk\navman\Socrates\Startup
5. Copy Prz24 'Taskbar.exe' from Taskbar_V3.0.zip to program folder, make a new shortcut to Taskbar.exe, rename it 'Taskbar.lnk' and place it in the 'Startup' directory.
6. Make a shortcut to 'Navcarc1.exe' (created in Step 2), rename the shortcut e.g. Navman GPS and move it to the 'Start' folder
7. Install your applications in 'Storage Card\Program Files' folder, make new shortcuts for each, and copy them to the 'Storage Card\Start' folder'
!!! Be carefull : don't copy someone elses shortcuts, make your own.
Disconnect your ICN and hard reset it. Set time. All done!
Update:
If you want to use WolfNCU and or Wolf Toolbar instead of Prz toolbar make following change to Step 5:
Copy the required program files to \Storage Card. (WolfNCU must be in root of SD card or CF card or it won't work properly).
Make shortcuts to WolfNCU.exe and or WolfToolbar.exe and place one or both shortcuts into the Storage Card\Startup directory (instead of Prz24 Taskbar shortcut).
Reset and enjoy.
To restore back to standard Navman setup, simply delete the prz24 modded NavcarCE.exe, and rename NavcarC1.exe back to NavcarCE.exe (or SmartST_CE.exe for 550). |

Here's a small video showing the directory structure differences you must take into account when running PRZ24 on the iCN520: using the Backup\Shackleton folder instead of lightning.

Before you attempt any unlocking procedure, copy your Navman's [My Flash Disk] to your PC's harddisk. If the worse comes to worst you can copy this folder back to the Navman to return the device to its default state. |

| This method loads up everything on startup. and the START menu doesnt bring anything up, or am I missing something? |

No, programs are not all loaded at startup.
Prz method (created by prz24) installs a small taskbar that includes its own menu.
Shortcuts placed in the start folder will appear as startup menu items.
In this way many different programs may be launched (instead of just Navman GPS's NavcarCE.exe).
When a program is launched, simply minimise the taskbar (leaving a little white square in the screen corner) and use the program as desired. When you want to change programs, tap the white square to bring up the task bar. Select the running app (appears on taskbar across bottom of screen) by tapping taskbar. This brings up option to close app. Then use start menu to select next required app.  |

Hello!
I have done the Prz24 Method for the iCN 530 but have one problem  , when i shut down icn with on/off button and start it after a little time and try to start some apps it say:
[Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename.]
If I then do a soft reset or a hard reset it begins to work.
Does someone now what the problem is?

I see you are trying Prz method now. Make sure you have removed Madchris appstartupsec and Taskbar and replaced original appstartupsec. Then ony need rename original NavcarCE to NavcarC1 and put in Prz's NavcarCE (v2.9) and Taskbar v3. Set up shortcut to taskbar in startup and other shortcuts in Start.
V3 has an ini file so you can specify where start and startup folders are (defaults to SD root without ini) |

hi guys
ive finally managed to get my 550 unlocked and i also have pocket launcher and tt6 running without a sd card so im well happy , however i dont seem to have a minimise tab for my task bar ( task bar v.3)
any help would be great

Add more shortcuts to the [start] folder. You have to have more than 10 shortcuts for that option to appear. |

I recommend that you try WolfTaskbar in place of the Prz one you are using. Just swap the shortcuts in startup.
WolfNCU is also very good on Navmans but program must reside in root of storage card. |

bodger001 do you have the Wolftaskbar.ini file in the same directory as the Wolftoolbar.exe file? It is set up from the ome button on the menu.
Here is a copy of mine for comparisonn (content and directories will differ as I have a 530 not the 520.
It is a great little toolbar - hope you manage to get it going.

once i had installed it and tap the home button i cant understand the set up because there is no words just small squares.
i have a 550 if that makes any difference, i would love to get this going though
