Yes. Depending where you live, you may need to buy a larger capacity storage card to handle Tomtom's detailed maps.

Exclamation
Please note: You cannot use a storage card larger than 512MB on a Navman iCN520. The iCN520 may damage permanently any storage card that is larger than this capacity.

Do you know the MFG date on your device? (on the back, below the serial number)
My iCN520 MFG date reads: 2005.06 Perhaps the problem was ironed out on devices manufactured later than this date. Have you tried accessing data from all 4GB on the card?

You will need to unlock the Navman if you haven't done so already.
see: http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com/Unlock

Once unlocked you can install Tomtom and other software on the Navman.

Tomtom installation instructions and video can be found here:
http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com/Tomtom+WinCECabManager

You will not need to change the registry [ Stage 8 ] if you unlocked the Navman with Tahtu's program.

Use Tomtom 6.02 for wm2003 version.

i used a 1gig mmc+ on my old 520 made 08 2005 it overclocked to 470 max

i have just replaced it with another from ebay (old one stolen)

thats 08 2005 as well im waiting for my 2gig mmc+ to arrive from ebay
this one overclocks to 533mhz

i dont know why people use sd cards they are much slower
1bit data bus vs 8bit on mmc+

also navman supply it with a mmc+ when new

old card was 1gig integral mmc+ for anyone wanting to use

the new one is transcend 2gig mmc+

will post if it works fine when it turns up
